The new city library in Turku is located at the historical centre of the city. The building is the latest addition to a block with the old library and several other historically valuable buildings. The historical and cultural value of the site presented a great challenge for the planning of the new building. The objective of the project was to create a new construct, which would harmonize with the historically invaluable setting while also manifesting an architecture of its own age. In terms of urban planning the goal was to fill out the open and unstructured street corner by following the edges of the existing urban grid. By constructing the building on the outer perimeter, we were able to provide an open space in the middle of the lot, which was designed to serve as a courtyard for recreation and a stage for cultural events. The interior of the new building is annexed with the existing 100-year old library building and the chancellery of the governor built at the beginning of the nineteenth century, now restored and transformed to facilitate a café and meeting rooms.

I Wonder
Yo, Lifes CRAZY! Life itself is by far the most candid reason for suicide and violence today. Which makes you and myself both wonder. How did this horrible and somewhat amazing thing called life start. I mean when did life itself start, and how did this all come along, you know the enitre B.C. thing. Its a thought that no one can seem to figure out. But there is an explanation. Seemingly there are thousands of points of views of life. Who knows if there is a official one. In my mind the truth to it all is basically, " Live Yours And Experience All The Obstacles it involves and what you experience, AND HOW IT MAKES YOU FEEL AS A PERSON". It simply seems to be basically a opinion instead of an actual definition to the word LIFE Even the speculations about the body. I have begun to wonder where did the body come from? Was it science cells that just formed into a human body, as well as animals, what science proves about how we originated. Being that we are a form of animal too. I wonder how the body flows on auto, with you doing something manually. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DUMB PERSON. We all carry brains in the bodies we are. And the brain is by far the Most SMARTEST AND INTELLIGENT THING TO MAN KIND. Life is really a brain teaser and also who we are. I think i will be getting more into these topics very soon!

THE PEDESTRIAN PROJECT
This Is So Amazing! The Pedestrian Project consists of several performers wearing entirely black custom-made costumes modeled after the generic images of men, women, and children seen on public signs. Mimicking the lives of everyday people, the roaming sculptural forms inspire the imaginations of onlookers, who often find themselves mesmerized as these familiar icons assume busy lives of their own. Created by New Yorker Artist/Costume Designer Yvette Helin, this idea is just Genius
Story Of Life!
You never know who these people may be, your neighbor, your coworker, a long lost friend, or a complete stranger. When you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment they will affect your life in some profound way.
Sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower, or heart.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck.
Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience, help to create who you are and who you become.
Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things.
Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that you have never talked to before, and actually listen.
Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you.
You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it with absolutely no regrets.
Most importantly if you Love someone tell him or her, for you never know what tomorrow may have in store.
Learn a lesson in life each day that you live. That's the story of Life.
